Brick Township is located in Ocean County, on the Jersey Shore, and encompasses 26.4 square miles, with over 70,000 residents calling it "home." Waterways within the town include the Atlantic Ocean, Barnegat Bay, Metedeconk River, Manasquan River, Kettle Creek, and multiple inland waterways such as Lake Riviera and Forge Pond. Main thoroughfares include State Highways 70, 88, and 35 and the Garden State Parkway. Fire Department services are provided by over 150 volunteer members from the four Fire Companies in town:
These highly trained volunteers donate their time and themselves to the residents and visitors of Brick Township. The goal of the Fire Department is to provide the highest quality Fire Protection, Fire Safety, and Rescue services to the Township of Brick. The Fire Companies are supported by donations from the public - PLEASE be generous by donating whatever you can afford, to help those who help you. The Department maintains its own Bureau of Fire Safety, which carries out residential and commercial inspections, provides fire subcode inspections on behalf of the Township, and is responsible for all Fire Prevention and Fire Education initiatives within the Township.
The Brick Township Fire Training Academy provides state-of-the-art training facilities for the firefighters of Brick Township, as well as those from surrounding communities.
The Brick Township Exempt Firemen's Association consists of members from all four township fire companies.
The Department also sponsors Brick Township Fire / EMS Junior Program program which is committed to educating and promoting the importance of firefighting and emergency medicine to the youth in the township.
